Pacific Crest Trail Day 20

Cookie Monster and I took another zero today. It snowed some last night, and there is a possibility for more today. However, we are mainly focused on going slow at the moment because it is still snowing in the Sierra and we don’t want to get there too early. I am realizing that I may have started a bit early, but it was impossible to know what the snowpack would be like since you apply for PCT permits in early November when there was little snow and no telling what the rest of the season would bring.

In any case, we will continue going slower than we need to down the trail for the time being while things settle out on the trail ahead and we can better plan for it.
